Continuous pH, ORP and temperature measurement with dual analogue outputs
Tenber PH-303 is a compact industrial pH/ORP controller for continuous measurement in wastewater, environmental monitoring, process water and other suitable applications. It measures pH or oxidation-reduction potential together with temperature and provides two isolated 4–20mA outputs for compatible monitoring, recording or automation systems.
PH-303 uses the same core measurement range as the PH-302 family while omitting the PH-302 relay and RS485 Modbus RTU functions. This simplified configuration is intended for projects that need analogue signals without those additional control and communication features.
Key Functions
pH, ORP and temperature measurement
PH-303 supports pH or ORP measurement with temperature input. The documented resolution is 0.01 pH and 1 mV, with temperature compensation using Pt1000 or NTC10K.
Two isolated analogue outputs
The selection guide documents two isolated 4–20mA outputs. Confirm the required value mapping, load and receiving-device configuration before wiring the controller into a PLC, recorder or other system.
Simplified integration
PH-303 does not include the PH-302 relay outputs or RS485 Modbus RTU communication. Choose the PH-302 when relay control or digital communication is required.
Verified Technical Specifications
Electrode and Temperature-Compensation Selection
PH-303 should be selected together with the pH or ORP electrode, temperature probe, cable and installation arrangement. The nominal pH range does not by itself establish whether an electrode is suitable for the liquid.
Before quotation, send the liquid composition, expected pH or ORP range, normal and maximum temperature, pressure, installation position, cable length and required analogue-output mapping. For general industrial pH monitoring, compare TB84H0; for selected fluoride-containing applications, review TB84H7W; for ORP measurement, review TB84R1.
Installation and Wiring Considerations
The selection guide lists panel, wall and pipe installation for this 96-series controller. For panel mounting, confirm the available 92.5 × 92.5mm opening and the mounting hardware supplied with the selected configuration.
Complete the electrode, temperature, two 4–20mA and power wiring checks before applying power. PH-303 does not provide the PH-302 RS485 or relay terminals, so the control system must receive the measurement through the documented analogue outputs. Confirm terminal assignments and output mapping against the current supplied documentation before commissioning.
Commissioning, Calibration and Maintenance
- Confirm the PH-303 model, electrode type, temperature probe, cable and mounting arrangement.
- Check the liquid, measurement range, temperature, pressure and installation point before applying power.
- Complete the supply, electrode, temperature and analogue-output wiring checks.
- Follow the current supplied documentation for pH or ORP calibration and temperature-compensation setup.
- Compare the displayed value with a suitable reference check before connecting the analogue outputs to the control system.
- Record calibration checks and cleaning observations so the maintenance interval reflects actual fouling and drift.
Typical Applications
Wastewater Neutralization
Monitor pH or ORP during treatment and discharge processes after the electrode is matched to the liquid.
Environmental and Process Water
Transmit continuous pH, ORP or temperature values to compatible analogue-input equipment.
Industrial Process Monitoring
Use the simplified analogue-output configuration where relay control and RS485 communication are not required.
Industrial pH Meter with 4–20mA Output
PH-303 is suited to projects comparing industrial pH meters with 4–20mA output when the system needs two isolated analogue signals, pH or ORP measurement and temperature compensation. Confirm the output mapping, load, electrode, temperature probe and receiving PLC or recorder before quotation.
How to Select the Right Configuration
Choose PH-303 when the project needs the documented measurement range, Pt1000 or NTC10K temperature compensation, two isolated 4–20mA outputs and the listed installation options. Choose PH-302 when the project also requires RS485 Modbus RTU or two relay controls. Choose PHS-3301 when a larger controller platform with documented Modbus and additional control functions is required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can PH-303 measure both pH and ORP?
The selection guide identifies pH and ORP measurement ranges for the PH-302/303 family. Confirm the active measurement mode and electrode configuration before ordering.
Does PH-303 support RS485 Modbus RTU?
No. The supplied selection guide marks RS485 Modbus RTU as a PH-302 function. Choose PH-302 or another documented Modbus model when digital communication is required.
Does PH-303 have relay outputs?
No. The two relay outputs are marked as PH-302 functions in the supplied selection guide. PH-303 is the simplified analogue-output configuration.
Can PH-303 connect to a PLC?
It can be considered when the PLC has compatible analogue inputs for the two isolated 4–20mA outputs. Confirm output mapping, load and wiring before ordering.
Which electrode should I choose?
Send the liquid composition, pH or ORP range, temperature, pressure, mounting method, cable length and maintenance conditions. The controller and electrode should be checked as one configuration.
What should be included in a quotation request?
Provide the measurement parameter, liquid, range, temperature, pressure, installation, required analogue outputs, quantity and destination country.
Compare the pH and ORP controller range, review wastewater pH monitoring, or browse all Tenber instruments.
Confirm the PH-303 measuring configuration
Send the liquid, pH or ORP range, temperature, installation and analogue-output requirements. Tenber will check the controller and electrode combination before quotation.
